Although this is pretty much an average anime from the get-go, it does have its funny moments such as Norio Wakamoto's performance was quite hilarious including parodying his character from Gunbuster in one episode when he's training the MC Isurugi for a ramen eating contest and even the MC's collection of anime-related merchandise acting as Easter eggs, such as his Evangelion poster in a background shot for example. The OP song is pretty good and nice to listen to at the beginning of each episode. If you like light-hearted 90's fare, then this anime is worth a watch if you want to get in a laugh or two, but just stick to the Japanese dub, it would've been nice if this had been dubbed by ADV's IS&M studio.
