Adapted from the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series of books by author George R.R. Martin, "Game of Thrones" is a high fantasy story set in the fictional continent of Westeros,
where several noble families fight for the Iron Throne and the dominion over all Westerosi people. Intrigue and
backstabbing are a common occurrence and, as the quote above highlights, holding on to morals may just lead one to their
doom. The show and books switch between multiple characters, following them throughout the journey to their goals — be
they attaining power, saving others, or exacting revenge.
