Fallenkaze's Angel Beats! Tv And Ova Review

Rated: 9

Angel Beats! Is always interesting, I was hooked from start to finish which took about a week. I actually stopped at episode 11 because I didn't want it to end but eventually I had to finish it. While I won't spoil anything the ending is the only anime ending i've ever shed a tear to. Key uses many different tactics to get the viewer to truly care about the characters, besides the pure sympathy used with the main characters, humor is effectively used with sub-characters. Even though these characters never get the spotlight you will probably remember things about each one.

This was another of those anime that build up your hopes by telling you sad stories. And yes in this one it works all the way. and the addition of guns to the story really adds to the things to look at. beautifully animated in every scene i couldn't help but love it.and the character feel like people you could really know, or have problems that happen in real life.such a connection between the real and unreal has almost never been achieved in anime. and i plan to buy every bit of this one. the only thing i didn't like about this anime, and was actually a good addition to the story was the ending. it was ssssooooo sad. i really hope they do another season or at least a spin off of the show. that would be awesome.

This show was very good and a bit different from most shows. Even though it was short anime series, it had such an impact from both music and story for me and more anime should be like this in my opinion. A lot of the music in the series was pretty nice to listen to. I loved 'Ichiban no Takaramono' the original LiSA/Yui version played with Iwasawa. It's sounds sad but it is awesome! The ending was sad, watching everyone graduate, I actually cried. My absolute favorite character was Iwasawa Masami! I grew attached to her as soon as she told her story. It was such a sad thing for me to know that she has to disappear so early in the show. TK was hilarious to me whenever he was around so I wish he got more lines in the show. It also would been nice to see the back stories of all the other characters. Seeing Yuzuru's back story was sad, especially what happened to his sister Hatsune. Yuri's story was also pretty messed up. I wished Shiina got shown more, I liked her.

Interesting story, and fun to watch characters. I find it hard to say that I had a favorite character in this series as they were all equally unique and gave the series something different collaboratively. It might be difficult to follow at first, but as the series progresses things become clearer, and as things become clearer, so do the high-jinx of the characters to defeat what it is they are afraid will happen. It seemed to have that hidden message of accepting and not blaming yourself for past things.

Angel Beats have a large cast of characters, some comedy and some very emotional scenes (I especially think about the scene in episode 2 where Yuri is telling Otonashi about her very sad and cruel past... I had shivers down my spine when she told that

I have to say at first I thought there'd be little to no plot or a lot of fan service. But I was surprised that not only was there little fan service, but it was actually a serious anime and not just full of stupid episodes of filler. No, the series had a plot and a point it was trying to make the whole time. The characters and their developments were small (due to it being only 13 episodes) but they were very different from one another and remember-able. The ending was surprisingly well done and very good, but heart breaking all at the same time. This series really touched me and I think it could do the same for anyone who'd let it.
