Art Nouveau is an art style that was popularized at the turn of the 20th century (1890s-1920s), first in Europe and then
internationally. Art Nouveau pieces tend towards curvilinear forms and organic (especially floral) motifs, often
integrating text directly into the design.
Art Nouveau is mostly known for its poster prints (it was a popular
form for advertisements) and jewelry but its forms can be found in various other mediums including ceramics and
architecture.
