Barakamon is one of the best slice of life animes I have ever seen. It has everything to qualify it as a great. It's funny, cute and dramatic. I'm currently watching it, but have every intention to complete it.
Excellent manga! I wasn't sure what to expect when I first saw the title, but I started reding it and I just fell in love with it. This story kinda reminds me the pastoral novels (released during the Rennaisance), where the authors painted an ideal countryside full of noble, kind people who are able to cure the hero of his aches and doubts (in opposition to the city)... The innocent, brave and immaginative Naru-chan also reminds me of Ryushika (manga written by Abe Yoshitoshi, they're both brilliant and cute!). It's just very refreshing, very natural and terribly funny. Highly recommendable for anyone who likes to switch off! (I feel so identified with Seishu! I love calligraphy, I overwork, I don't like kids (although they seem to like me ¬¬) and I loooove cats even when I'm brutally allergic to them! >.<!)
