Girl's Generation is a nine member girl group signed under Korean talent agency SM Entertainment. It's members include
TaeYeon (Kim Tae Yeon), Jessica (Jung Su Yeon), Sunny (Lee Soon Kyo), Tiffany (Hwang Mi Young), HyoYeon (Kim Hyo Yeon),
Yuri (Kwon Yuri), Sooyoung (Choi Su Young), Yoona (Lim Yoon-ah) and SeoHyun (Seo Ju Hyun). International fans call them
SNSD the acronym for their Korean Group Name So Nyeo Shi Dae. The group not only specializes in singing and dancing but
also does DJing, MCing and Acting.
The group also sings OST's for K-Dramas. The most recent song they
recorded for a Drama are (SarangInGulYo / It's Love) and (Motion). On June 2007 the girls had their first performance
with their song "Into the new world" . Girls Generation along with other SM Artist most notably (BoA, TVXQ, Super
Junior, CSJH the Grace, Zhang Liyin and SHINee) participated in SM Town Live '08. On June 29, 2009 the Girl's released
their second mini-album titled 'Tell me your wish'.
Before their debut it was rumored that the group will
be named Super Girls after their male counterpart Super Junior.
