A hachimaki (鉢巻) is a headband in Japanese culture, usually made of red or white cloth, worn around the forehead as a symbol of perseverance or effort by the wearer.
Use this tag for any cloth worn around the forehead that does not cover the top of the head.
For scarves that cover the top of the head, use bandana.
