Cagalli88's Harukanaru Toki no Naka de Tv Review

Rated: 7

Hm, originality...I am not sure about this becasue Fushigi Yuugi published the manga about this waaay before Harutoki. Furthermore, Yuu Watase spent alot of time researching on the Chinese Legend so maybe Harutoki lacked originality as it comes from a game- turned- anime. Being a fan of Fushigi Yuugi, i have alot to complain about this anime. But, as an anime fan, i watch many series of different perspectives and Harutoki has that 'other perspective' so it IS worth the watch.

However, it is enjoyable to watch because you can FEAST on the cuute guys and oggle at them. Be awed by their fighting skills and the dedication and sacrificed they made for their beloved Priestess.

Because I couldn't find a translation for the game and don't know Japanese, I watched the anime instead. I was surprised to see that there were extra "mini episodes" if you will with alt endings for who Akane ended up with. As this is why I like visual novels and has always been my dream to happen with anime filled with hot guys, I instantly loved the series. But putting the endings to the side, the anime itself was rather interesting in its own right. It had a plot, background information for almost all of the bodyguards and covered many genres such as action, adventure, character developments, romance, and even comdey through an episode or two of filler. Overall the anime was enjoyable (especially with the eye candy) and well done transition from the game to a series (and if not that just means the game is more awesome than I thought hehe). Either way, well done series, interesting, and love being able to "pick" my guy(s).

Bishies! What more can I say. If you're looking for an anime with an amazingly touching storyline, this is NOT a series for you. It's based on a dating sim game so the characters aren't too fleshed out (which was a downside since they were all supercute! XD)

it's cool how the ending is unset and gives the viewer a option. i say it's the orange hair guy and the blonde hair boy that came back with her. some anime's always like that. however it started, however it ends.
