Hayate the Combat Butler has a few unique perks in terms of presentation. Aside from Hayate's saga of protecting Nagi from the forces of evil, picture this. A fourth wall goes down. And then another, and another, and another, and still another. The characters in the show can see that the audience is tuning in, and as a viewer, you can't help but think, "I'm in the show! Wahey!" A few members in the cast introduce themselves only to the audience. Think of it as a subliminal effort to make you want more of the show. Do not resist. I repeat, do not resist.
A second perk to Hayate the Combat Butler are eyecatches...Shiritori style. That is, a person speaks one phrase, and the last syllable of that phrase is used for the next phrase and so on (i.e. "Hayate no Gotoku!," "Christmas," etc.).

Awesome anime though some jokes and references may go over your head but keep watching to find episodes you like and just enjoy the series with its manga and several seasons and movie it's great entertainment !
This is a romantic comedy anime, with.. mediocre animation. It's full of weird, fun, and silly characters. The comedy is pretty funny. The story is about the life of an unlucky and poor sixteen-year-old, Hayate Ayasaki. Well, this show actually doesn't have a true storyline, there are some unrealistic episodes, but it's quite enjoyable. ^^, The characters are cutely drawn, especially their clothing. Pretty good anime overall. =)
I watched it in ANIMAX so I watched it in two seasons. I'll admit it's a bit childish but you gotta admit
it's one fun anime to watch. As I watch this anime I can't help but sympathize with Hayate. All the characters
are fun especially miss Katsura I've gotta admit she's one though character when it comes to money matters. I
find the student council president, hinagiku interesting.
Best comedy shonen manga anime yet to denote it's mainstream soon.....
Each of the chara have their own unique characteristic and the best part is each of them will make you enjoy the storyline even more. Although it's a lil' bit difficult to differentiate one chara with another, but the characteristic is enough to proven the beauty of the arts. Not to mention the deep and meaningful message that convey in this story even featured with only one expression or one word. The element Love, Romance, Friendship, Life, Hardness, Teenagers, Comedy, Shonen and Unrealistic within Realistic World blend together to create the gorgeous storyline. Thanks, Kenjiro Hata...All the best in succeeding Hayate no Gotoku.
...wow!! i like how Nagi Sanseinin...chose hayate to be her buttler...
they completely match each other's characteristics.....
this anime also is very funny..
i like how they put some animals just to make it more interesting..
over acting!.. i like that
I found it to be quite interesting at the first time I watched it, but it started to get really annoying with the censored words. I used to say that I'm very picky when it comes to harem. So this series fail my interest as it goes on.
Filled with comedy, action, romance, and hilarity; I recommend this series to any who love any of these genres and I tell you the hardest part of watching this series would be trying to keep a straight face.
There isn't really a stable storyline, just comedy in general.
Sometime it gets quite weird and childish
but overall it's a nice way to pass time.
the series is a bit long though >.<
and it's has the typical every girl falls for one guy theme
One of the funniest anime I've ever seen... The anime has no plot... just all arcs of funny moments. Quite disappointed that season 2 has a few episodes only... I guess reading the manga is worth it since the manga is quite far...
This series has been decent. Took a break from watching it at about ep 45, to watch some shorter series. Some funny parts, but I guess I'm definitely a fan the one long continuous plot rather than the every episode or so is a complete subplot that is started and resolved in the episode (which is what this is). It gets a 7, as it's a bit childish (especially the first season), however I thoroughly enjoy the manga. The second season does a better job following the manga and just seemed that the production staff started caring. Also the first closing song for the second season, "Honjitsu, Mankai Watashi Iro!", is amazing and my second favorite opening/closing for an anime (first being the opening for Speed Grapher, "Girls On Film")
Una serie tipica comedia, romance, accion. Pero con una serie de situaciones incoherentes muy divertida ante todo se las
recomiendo.
Le doy a esta serie en 6.75 pero temporalmente ya que no me la he terminado de ver
