The first Iczer series was the best with its' mature storyline and plot with a great heroine in the lovely Iczer-One and I liked how Nagisa Kanou developed as the reluctant heroine of the series and I love how she found someone to fight for in the little girl Sayoko. Iczer-Two is one amazing character herself and she was quite the badass. I loved the vocal performances of the original seiyuu and anything that has the great Kaneto Shiozawa is pure gold. The music and the songs of the series are just one piece of the pie that made this anime so enjoyable with the 80's vibe it has. I believe this series has aged well with the impressive character designs by the fantastic Toshihiro Hirano, who is one of my all-time favorite manga-ka's.
Knowing this was one of the first OVAs made,it had a history that was beautifully re-written on Animanga.com. It did had a prequel called Golden Warrior Iczer-1. It's sweet to see this. Today,it's nothing special but it's sweet to see how Iczer-One was made. Overall,with prequel story,it would be given a higher rating but without it,a slightly low score of 7.5. I've seen bits of the manga so it counts as a higher score,right?
