A young girl named Kagome Higurashi who's on her way to school goes to the well in her family's property. She was about
to get her cat from the area because no one was supposed to go there she found a demon in the well instead. Taking
Kagome back in time to the Feudral era of Japan. Once she heads to a village the people proved that she's the
reincarnation of the powerful priestess Kikyo.
The villagers also believed that she had the powerful Shikon jewel
inside her body that can grant you anything you want.
Before when Kikyo was alive, she sealed a dangerous
half demon Inuyasha to a tree with one of her magical arrows. Kagome loses the Shikon jewel and awakes Inuyasha to help
her recover it.
When they do get it back however, Kagome shatters it when it is taken again thus sending
it far and wide. The series tells us how Inuyasha and Kagome search for it and meet new people along the way.

AnimeBubble's Inuyasha Tv Review

I think with everything else reviewed, I gave out a pretty good idea on what I think about the presentation and show, in
general. So just to sum it up:
-The show is enjoyable, but the long arcs and fillers can get tiring- it becomes a must-see when it follows well the
manga storylines and gets to the serious stuff. The romance is to die for- You'll find yourself debating ships without
realizing it.
-The concept of the story is well put, even if sometimes you kind of forget what's it really about due the
laid-back-ness that some breather episodes tend to have.
-The humor is okay- not to burst out laughing, not to stay there with a blank face. The comedid timing is pretty good,
even if it's repetitive.

The manga ending was amazing, the anime had far too many fillers for a series that's manga version had fillers too many xD thus makin' its anime far too much filler (ya can't get to the end easily and even then the ending isn't the manga ending)

This is the second most favorite anime of mine!
I love fantasy and romance and whatever else was thrown in there! The music is great and really matches the anime.
The manga was also very awesome! The art work was quite cool. I love Rumiko Takahashi's works!
I only own the OVA DVDs, I've only seen seasons 1-3, when I realized it was a long-ass series, hell no I wasn't going to keep on watching it. I guess that means it wasn't as interesting as Bleach/DBZ/Sailormoon or Naruto. So I gave up, I'd better just watch the movies, which I'll probably love...BTW I haven't seen them yet. But I'll post here a short review of what I thought about them when I see them.
e1ectric rated 5.00:first episode wasn't as awesome as I had imagined it to be, from my basis of reading the manga years and years ago. I'll probably come back to it when I get bored with other series, but it will be a long series.

picture is great, story is a little bit long and boring because all the demon-fighting in the latter part of it.
I would like to emphasize the characterization. I think it's the shining point of the anime.
My favourite character is Kikyo. Her emotional conflicts shaped her to be the only tragic figure. Her love with Inuyasha once had abandoned her goal to be a Miko, she was willing to give up her magic power then marry Inuyasha. Needless to say, this is a great sacrifice for a Miko. The anime had a very sensitive approach to this : remember Inuyasha gave his mother's lip rough to Kikyo? Kikyo dressed herself up in front of the mirror and saw how beautiful she looked. In the same time she determined to love inuyasha for rest of her life. This strong feeling in a way became a possessive desire, which is also her weak point. She struggled between love and hate, revenge and desperation. She died, but she was beautiful.
Not only Kikyo, but also Kagome and Sango also have different kinds of conlifcts. Kagome was jeaulous when she saw Inuyasha and Kikyo were together. Sango was upset when she saw her brother did cruel and heartless things. What i want to point out is that it is the conflict between heart and mind perfected the character, and bring the flowing emotions into full play.
