A young girl named Kagome Higurashi who's on her way to school goes to the well in her family's property. She was about
to get her cat from the area because no one was supposed to go there she found a demon in the well instead. Taking
Kagome back in time to the Feudral era of Japan. Once she heads to a village the people proved that she's the
reincarnation of the powerful priestess Kikyo.
The villagers also believed that she had the powerful Shikon jewel inside her body that can grant you anything you want.
Before when Kikyo was alive, she sealed a dangerous half demon Inuyasha to a tree with one of her magical arrows. Kagome loses the Shikon jewel and awakes Inuyasha to help her recover it.
When they do get it back however, Kagome shatters it when it is taken again thus sending it far and wide. The series tells us how Inuyasha and Kagome search for it and meet new people along the way.
I think with everything else reviewed, I gave out a pretty good idea on what I think about the presentation and show, in
general. So just to sum it up:
-The show is enjoyable, but the long arcs and fillers can get tiring- it becomes a must-see when it follows well the manga storylines and gets to the serious stuff. The romance is to die for- You'll find yourself debating ships without realizing it.
-The concept of the story is well put, even if sometimes you kind of forget what's it really about due the laid-back-ness that some breather episodes tend to have.
-The humor is okay- not to burst out laughing, not to stay there with a blank face. The comedid timing is pretty good, even if it's repetitive.
Think I've seen about 80% of the series... probably missed a few episodes here and there, but have seen most of it. Rather enjoyed Inuyasha: the locations, going back and forth between universes, different items, the various characters and their dynamics. The most interesting relationship is between Inuyasha and his half-brother, Sesshomaru.ChaiTea91 rated 8.50:
I own two of the movies (one of which I gotta replace) but have seen all 4 and love the series. But I was mildly disappointed because it sorta felt like the love triangle got dragged on too long plus *spoiler alert* it was agitating to not get a kiss scene f/ InuXKag until the very last episoderenlilica rated 9.00:
I like this anime especially the idea of going back time through a well, I really like Kikyo from there she is just so
cool. The love story of Kikiyo and Inuyasha is just so heart breaking. The plot is pretty well laid out. For guys who
don't mind watching long anime you'll definitely like it so go for it. I also had to wait for such a long time for the
release of Final act T.T
First of all, I wanted to say that I watched this anime completely only because of Sesshoumaru. X3 The first couple of episodes were quite good with decent storyline, great art, voice-acting, good animation, but somewhat annoying main characters. But then the story just kinda dragged on forever and I started to get bored of all the monster killings after watching 20+ episodes. The the plot is unimpressive except for the the 'final arc', but I have to admit the opening and ending songs are one of the best songs I've ever heard in anime. <3RenjiXRukiaLUV rated 10.00:
This anime really had a huge impact on me. :D
I have watched it for almost 10 years and it never gets old. T.T
My favorite series of all time. It has an amazing storyline full of drama and suspense, beautiful and lovable characters, and sad, romantic and hilarious-comedic moments. Inu Yasha will go down in history.
