Senou Natsuru is your normal, everyday high school student--except he's been chosen to be a Kämpfer (German for "fighter"), whose objective consists of fighting other Kämpfers with guns, swords or magic. However, there's a couple of catches; you can't chose if you're a Kämpfer or not, and you must have the body of a girl in order to use your powers.

I thought it would be like Ikki Tousen .... BUT I was sooo Wrong! .... -_-

There weren't many fights at all.... and from the beginning I didn't like Sakura-san (soooo NERVING) and that guy *pfft* .... -_-

A watered down Ikkitousen is the only thing i can think of to describe this show. I enjoyed it, but felt like I needed more after its mostly uncomplete ending. Natsuru is the typical harem lead character and honestly he kind of annoyed me throughout the entire show even though that's his character role. (Shizuku was by far the best girl) This only way i got actually managed to get through this series was the plot and the transform fetish. That's it. If you're ever bored and want to see a couple of fight scenes with some fanservice, give this series a whirl. If not, you're not missing much at all.

A cute harem gender bender story revolving around a highschool boy that comes upon powers he didn't know he had. These powers are typically only found in females, but he is the exception. =b It would be nice to see the male lead a little more strong-willed at times (especially when the girls are trying to own him).

I appreciated the fights, the different weapons, storyline and animation. However, the main character was so pathetic and plain stupid. He would constantly ponder over why girls liked him so much e.g. "Why does [girl's name] want to go on a date with me?" and "Why did [girl 1] get angry when I was dating [girl 2]?". I don't want to give spoilers but I understand that there was... manipulation going on? But still!

When I was a kid I couldn't get a good chance to see Ranma 1/2 but with Kampfer I can see a lot of similarity (espacially since Natsuru turns into a girl) so I think this is like my Ranma 1/2.
My favorite character is Shizuku, she is very hot!!

If your into goofy fanservice and crazy gender changing action you'll like this... Laugh out loud funny I got my little (20 year old) brother hooked on this! And now that season 2 is here he beat me to it...What! really I've been patiently wait for season 2 after that cliff hanger of an ending! If you think that because of the high level of fan service in this series that it has a low quality or no plot your absolutely WRONG! Kampher is one of the few series that like sora no otoshimono can actually carry both easily. Because instead of having a plot that has random unwarranted fanservice the plot is almost based on it. If I say more it will ruin all the funny awkward moments.... So just watch it, you'll understand.

So I pulled an all-nighter to watch this. I like the character designs, I liked the plot, and the sound good, however the last show seemed stupid compared to the other 11. I almost docked the rating because of that show, so I'm pretending my rating does not include the last show. Things I didn't like, are the fact that they never actually resolved the plot, the last episode in whole, and how short the series was (it had a strong enough plot that they could have made a least a 24 episode series, possibly more), and the abandonment of all previous character development of Kaede to make her bipolar psychopath (I liked her better before, but the bipolar psychopath thing adds another level to the plot, that could make the story better if they would have finished it). Things I liked are the plot (but where's the rest of it?), the fanservice (and/or cute character designs), and the voice acting was really good.

Fine, it's an Ecchi anime. But can you blame me for liking it? XP
Of course you can't! Anyway, the story is nice. Though the fact of the Kampfer's being only women is something strange. And that the main lead is a Zauber type yet he only wields fire. (Or should I address him as her? ) Anyway! Fairly entertaining! And they never run out of things to make hilarious.

Love the scenarios Natsuru ends up in. And she is a pretty well endowed girl when it comes down to it.

I'm not sure what to think about the whole "male magic-girl transformation" thing. It's interesting at the very least and might turn out to be a good series. But ugh...why the fanservice? It detracts so much from the quality of the show.

I started watching this because the girls were hot and the story didn't require much thought on my part, so in short it was fluff. Much to my surprise about half way in it flipped on me and hit me with a nice solid sneak attack. The twists involved were enough to bump it to the highest spot in my to be watched list and made me hope for a sequel, even with that being said it is fluff at heart.

Not a bad series at all! From beginning to end it will leave you questioning both wtf is going on and your sexual orientation...however it's worth the confusion since it's entertaining and a pleasure to watch as the character's grow on each other.

Well.. it was an unique anime to watch for.. but i don't like the concept of this story.. a guy turned in to a girl? i' have seen may of this kind of anime such as : Ranma, Kashimashi, otome wa boku ni koishiteru, etc. overall.. This anime worth to watch for.. XD

This one actually being aired in Japan, and looks good the character design, maybe the voices are not so good (more for the male character), but it's fine in the female character... The design is almost like the manga itself, but the story differs so much from the manga and from the graphic novel as well... Good Anime by now... :)
