A fanatical supporter of Kira, Misa is accompanied by the shinigami Rem and eventually makes a deal with her for the Shinigami Eyes in order to help Light Yagami/Kira out. While seemingly airheaded and ditzy, Misa is shown to be more capable than many give her credit for. She has an established career as an idol, is often seen in Gothic Lolita-themed clothes, and thinks herself to be Light's girlfriend (which Light disagrees with).
