Mori no Koe Series
Tagged under Bohra Naono, Series.
Mori no Koe is divided into five main stories that take place in an alternate universe where demons exist and are sold
to humans as slaves. Due to their strong magical and physical abilities (spell songs, high stamina, superhuman strength
etc.), they are considered threats and treated worse than animals.
1) Otoyami no Mori (Voice Of The
Forest): doctor Ao Shinrii buys a demon on a whim, after seeing the wounds
on his body. He names him Ian and takes good care of him, but after a while starts
thinking that Ian would be better off living free.
2) Yumeoi no Mori (Dream Chasing Forest): during an
expedition, Biology scholar Vim Ryder is separated from his colleagues,
falls off a cliff and loses consciousness. He awakes to find himself chained to a bed and prisoner of a child demon by
the name of Alcan, who threatens to kill him if he runs away.
3) Itsuwari no Mori (Deceitful Forest): Yuusu, an aristocrat, has loved the demon Hugh ever since he was a child, but
why doesn't Hugh reciprocate?
4) Yoru Utau Mori: Alcan suddenly reveals his aggressive side, which
prompts Vim to back off and return to his village. Unfortunately, he isn't welcomed as he'd hoped and instead thrown in
prison for conspiring with a demon.
5) Mori ni Shizumu Tsuki (The Moon Sinking Into The Forest): after
fleeing their country, Ao, Ian, Hugh and Yuusu clash with Alcan in the outskirts of Delvis, the country's capital city.
Looking for a place to stay, they end up at Vim's institute.
Omakes:
1) Alcan explains why he
ran away from Vim in chapter four.
2) Soldiers burst into Vim's institute, demanding that he have Alcan's magic
powers sealed.
3) Ao talks to Yuusu and Hugh about his and Ian's past (the events of the first chapter), only to
remember that it's time for Ian's periodical checkup.
Note: even though the oneshot Yurusareta Uta isn't part of Mori no Koe, it takes place in the same
universe.

Definitely one of Naono's best stories! Drop dead gorgeous art, complex characters and awesome humor, but also gripping drama when need be. Highly recommended for yaoi fans that want a little more than sex in their stories!
