Fallenfate's My Neighbor Totoro Tv Review
Rated:
Like i said before.
Its an easy enough film to watch.
If you want depth, you won't really find it here.
Its sentimental at the most. Its a magical experience that you will get.
Humour? Well I didn't really laugh at loud to any bits, but I did smile occasionally at the interaction between some characters. The boy made me smile the most I guess, just due to the way he acts.
Concept? Well it was easy enough to understand. I mean its a fantasy after all. You accept what you are seeing.
Enjoyability? Definitely enjoyable! Loved every minute of it when i was younger and when i watched it again when i was older.

It's one of the sweetest thing I've ever seen in my life.
The whole animation just gives off natural and warm feelings, I can't help but smile at most scenes! And I also can't
help but to cry along at some parts. XD The Japanese voice actors just livened up the whole animation.
It's also one of the animation I want to have a copy of! *u*
great cinemactic effect. great characters. they are developed, sign of growth. story with depth. the cutest creature ever created by the Studio. seiyuu very professional and resulted in living characters. despite watching this as a kid myself, story and characters still memorable.
ai-yame rated 9.75:Aww, who wouldn't know about the cuteness of Totoro? Who wouldn't want to be neighbors with such an adorable and helpful, not to mention fluffy creature? This movie has definitely captured my young spirit and I won't mind re-watching it. Totoro has also appeared in cameo roles not only in various Studio Ghibli movies but also in the likes of Toy Story 3, making him a well-loved anime character.
e1ectric rated 7.50:My roommate happens to own this (the Disney release) amongst her mostly sci-fi movies collection (the only 'cartoon' [as she called it] she owns). I watched it and it was really good. I could see myself watching it several times in a day if I was 8 again. The artwork was well done the sound was good except for the crying, which is by default, really annoying. Plot was definitely something for the younger audience, however Disney's translation for the subs was, well they didn't do a very good job (which surprised me, as Disney usually is the closest you can get to perfect for animated films). I know enough Japanese to know that 'Itadakimasu' is said before a meal to give thanks to the person who made the food, and not 'it looks delicious', as well as other translation mistakes That I could catch, however they still get the gist of the story across. Also the subs were a bit high, they could have been much closer to the bottom, however that might have something to do with the program I used to play it (used WMP instead of the program I usually use)
