Natsume Yuujinchou - Wallpaper and Scan Gallery

Takashi Natsume has the ability to see spirits, which he has long kept secret. However, once he inherits a strange book that belonged to his deceased grandmother, Reiko, he discovers the reason why spirits surround him. Containing the names of these spirits, a binding contract was formed between the spirits and the owner of the book. Now, Takashi is determined to free the spirits and dissolve the contracts. With the help of a spirit cat, his days are filled trying to help spirits retrieve their names.

Always wanted to watch this series, but at the time couldn't find it in good quality, but thankfully I now have a site that provides that quality. ^^ And after finishing Mushishi, I wanted something similar & found that in Natsume Yuujinchou. Enjoying it so far ^^ I really like the music and the character designs are pretty nice. The little fox was adorable. ^^ Madara & Takashi's relationship is super awesome to watch grow. Taki is best girl ;)

Although the main character is meek at some points, this anime really knows how to hit me right in the feels and I'm so sad that I haven't had time to see it just yet...but hopefully within a few weeks I will! ^w^

I love this anime so much! I have watch until season 3 and looking for the season 4! I really like nyanko-sensei and his selfish attitude as Madara-sama! as for Natsume-kun, I also like his loyalty...how he turn to be really kind person despite how he pass through his childhood with bullying and got no friend! Awesome!

What's not to like about this series? Nyanko- sensei and Natsume's relationship is always entertaining. I enjoyed the first series because of the humor and theme of loneliness, but the second season really made be adore this series as it further explored the good and evil as it pertains to humans and spirits. I am looking forward to seeing how the third season will continue. I feel that Natsume in the manga is much more "violent" towards Nyanko-Sensei than in the anime. XD

Youkai again! my fav anime! Hem..but i didnt watch season3&4! I already watch season1&2! This anime is about the different youkai for every episode. Natsume like his grandmother coz he can see a youkai. What happen when youkai always following u guys? hahah...

A relaxing anime, with very calm tones, a good story - though not particularly original - and nice characters. Japanese folklore has always fascinated me so I particularly liked this story whose protagonist is Natsume, a boy who can see Yokai and owns a strange book, inherited from his grandmother, who allows him to have control over Yokai whose names are written on it.
It feels kind of nostalgic..

This series is a matter of taste. Most people would probably feel bored by it because of the slow story flow, but I love it. There is action in it but not as showy, sparkling or exploding as usually shown though more fitting for the anime's calm air. I love the atmosphere created by the show - thoughtful, melancholic, calm, gentle but also building suspense with a mix of mystery and humor. The series emits its own charm and also sadness and solitude. The corresponding manga creates this atmosphere probably even better. There are 2nd, 3rd and 4th season.

This is one of my top favs. It fun, exciting, adventurous and funny. I love how they story goes, natsume's character develops and how he never gives up. even after four seasons i still hope they make a fifth one.

I saw Takashi Natsume featured in a video of top 10 male anime characters in 2011 and found him interesting so I checked out the anime. I became a fan immediately. He is surely one of the most dynamic and three-dimensional anime characters I have ever seen.
The funny thing about this anime is that, though it is not action-oriented or very exciting, I just can't stop watching it. The character development of Natsume from a lonely, isolated boy to a strong and happy person is well-handled and very heartening. All the stories of different yokais are touching. It's funny in the sense that this story can only work with a boy as the protagonist. Seeing miserable girls in tears isn't that strange. But being a boy, Takashi Natsume's emotions become much deeper. His fighting back tears, blushing or simply staring into empty space feels oddly powerful. This is an anime that speaks straight to the audience's hearts and it is precisely this that makes it so successful.

Its sooo... relaxing. Can be sad sometimes (its a advantage for me) but more often you will laugh (Nyanko sensei is so cute and funny! adorable..^_^). Good to have a little break from all that fighting shows and watch something like this - light and cheerful with sad moments if needed. Like the ideas for the spirits too. Very very good show, waiting for third season to come out, maybe I will rewatch previous two in the meantime^_^
Recently I'm watching the NY-C Shi and have to admit its getting better and better with every season^_^ Rising my rating then^_^

I love this series so much. I wish I had Nyanko-sensei as a friend, he's so funny and awesome. Also, some scenes with Natsume are so sweet/bittersweet it almost breaks my heart. ♥
I wish more people would watch/read this series, it's so underrated.

A yokai anime.. Yet quite peaceful and interesting. I think of this as a new and BETTER idea.. Or if those who just like action anime.. well for them i would say this anime contains very little of there interest.
But i enjoyed it like any other anime so assume that u will also.
Presentation, voice acting and character details or ..mm.. OKAY and in some areas GOOD. so over all a 7..

Nyanko-sensei!!!!!!!! SO cute and adorable. Love this cat so much!!!! Could laugh all the time.
Natsume on the other hand is gentle and nice.
Each episode tells a story of a youkai. I like most of the stories which are touching and sad that will warm your heart.
You'll be enveloped in the warm atmosphere of Natsume Yuujinchou's tale ?

Very interesting and creative story. Got to love the characters. seiyuu strong performance. voices matching characters and given them life. songs are great. artworks quality very high. look forward to seeing season 3.

A lovely series. The delicacy of the scenes make me think of watercolors. And many of the characters are well done. Especially Nyanko-sensei. I have seen all episodes that have been produced so far. Unfortunately, I have only watched it through download, because the only dvds I have seen are Japanese with no English subs. I would like very much to purchase it.
