Nekrateholic Series
Tagged under Kazuko Higashiyama, Series.
A year ago, the dhampir (half human, half vampire) Atsumi forced
the vampire Sakuya to drink his blood, which in turn made
Sakuya's body reject human blood due to the magical properties of the dhampir's blood. At that moment, Sakuya swore to
have his revenge by killing Atsumi, who in turn accepted the challenge. Now, Sakuya is still forced to live on the life
force of roses. Things seem to be somewhat peaceful at the Necrato love hotel (that Sakuya manages), until one day, when
none other than Atsumi shows up on its doorstep?!

Vampire yaoi is difficult to find. Vampire yaoi with a good, coherent plot is even harder to find. What first convinced me to read Nekrateholic was the art, which can be both gorgeous and funny when need be (though I can see how others might not find it very appealing). Secondly, the characters are well-balanced and fleshed out. Thirdly, the plot, while not something spectacular, is well structured and coherent; while I feel it had the potential to go on longer, I commend the author for stopping at one volume. It's pretty good for a light read, even though there were hints of something more complex going on behind the scenes.
