This was a heartfelt movie of the bond shared between the mother Hana and her children Ame and Yuki, Hana truly works hard to provide and nurture her little ones and love them with all her heart. She is an inspirational character as she never gave up despite the hardships she had to endure. This movie also did a great job in promoting the aspects of caring for nature and the environment in a dignified manner. I liked the development between Ame and Yuki as they grew up. The end is bittersweet and tugs at your heartstrings. This is my first movie I watched of Mamoru Hosoda and he is an amazing filmmaker in my first impressions of his work.
Quite a heart-breaking movie about the growth of children. The mother in the story is honestly a superwoman or something. Single-handedly raise two extremely demanding children who have completely opposite personalities. It certainly makes one admire and feels highly indebted and thankful to one's mother.
I first heard of the upcoming movie and I immediately fell in love with the whole concept. Now, I'm reading the manga and it's just adorable and sad. This is not the first manga that weilds the idea of the countryside as far more human (humaine) place to live in, which works perfectly for a wolf family. But it's also very interesting how the human world has this power to snatch the very nature of things... with time, the strong little Yuki wants to be more "feminine" and "ladylike", whereas fragile little Ame slowly becomes more aware of his wolf nature and wants to know more about it... An absolutely catching story, specially for us wolf-lovers ^_^ <3! I wept like a madelaine for several hours after watching the movie TT____TT There's so much love, patienceand faith that I couldn't help it.......
