Oz Bezarius, heir to one of the duke houses, has just turned fifteen. His life is rich and carefree, darkened only by the constant absence of his father. At his coming-of-age ceremony, however, everything changes. For no reason that he can discern, he's cast into the prison known as the "Abyss", only to be saved by a "chain" known as Alice, the bloodstained black rabbit. The mystery there begins as Oz unravels the mystery behind Alice, the Abyss and the strange organization known as Pandora. The series features heavy references to Lewis Carroll's "Alice in Wonderland" and can be considered both fantasy and mystery.

Louisedelavalliere09's Pandora Hearts Tv And Manga Review

Rated: 9

andora Hearts boasts some of the most interesting character designs I've seen. The European setting brings with it sartorial bliss in the form of ruffles, long coats, ties, and dresses that resemble tea cakes. In addition, the angular faces and large eyes of the characters allow their expressions to modulate from attractive innocence or heroic resolve into creepiness or melancholy at the drop of a hat, which helps to add extra dimension to the cast. The well-suited backgrounds help maintain the continental flavor of the visuals, but their limited number sometimes creates confusion (when town #1 looks exactly like town #2, I get disoriented).
Unfortunately, substandard execution ruins much of the lovely atmosphere and interesting subject matter.

I began this series by reading the manga, I always enjoy reading better than watching the anime. I have not watched the anime of this series yet. The manga itself has an interesting plot along with enjoyable characters. I stopped reading this manga for some reason, I need to continue. The art is done well with cute looking characters.

The setting and the Story plot of this anime was a win for me. with the feeling of 19th Century England, and the Beautiful clothes that they wore incorporated into this anime and manga was very inspiring to watch and read.

The stroy is really cool, but the anime hasn't got a real end and this thing disappointed me a lot :(
I hope to have the oppurtunity to read the manga as soon as I can, because the characters and the backgroudn story is really engaging!

"Pandora Hearts" seemed intresting at first, and it was for about...5 to 6 episodes, then it just turned out to be completely annoying and boring

To be honest, I don't really remember much of the story because I never really payed attention to this anime that much, characters were alright, the usual types (Silent guy - Gilbert, fun rich boy - Oz, crazy type - Alice, etc), the art was mediocre, didn't like the OP & ED very much but the OST is enjoyable

Seen the OVAS and they were nothing specially, not that funny either, even with Break in them...The action scenes were alright, not very humorous and the end was just terrible, simply terrible

Perhaps the manga is better? But I don't have the patience to read all of that, it was fun at first but then I started losing intrest, seen it out of curiosity but won't re-watch it

{ This Show Reminds Me Of }
• Kuroshitsuji ("Master & Servant" deal, obscure-ish show)
• Soul Eater (But "PH" is worse...lawl)

I think I love this series to the point of blindness. The anime got me into the series, but the MANGA. lud. that is a piece of work like no other. It's beautiful, mysterious, intriguing, and -diesfromtheawesome- As I said: to the point of blindness.
and Yuki Kajiura as the composer = win
