Puni Puni Poemi - Wallpaper and Scan Gallery

Random and demented, this OVA focuses on Poemi Watanabe, who lands on Earth riding a rainbow. Throughout the show we're constantly reminded that her ambition is to become a voice actress. Most of the time, however, something gets in her way - even an alien invasion! Along with the Aasu sisters, Poemi must protect the Earth, get the boy she obsesses over to notice her and become a voice actress, all in just two episodes!

PuniPuni Poemy is an excellent parody. It makes fun of everything (including itself), jumps out of character and makes jokes so fast it's hard to keep up. There are puns, typical jokes, inside-stuff, slapstick...you name it, PuniPuni Poemy has it. Almost every time you watch the show you realize a new joke and when everything happens so fast, it feels like you haven't seen everything just yet. It's a great and rare thing in anime.

There's no clear logic in this show, a dead fish used to transform pops almost out of nowhere and Poemy picks up cheesy lines even though no one told her such things. So sometimes it's frustrating to see something illogical happen...
