MapleRose's Samurai 7 Tv Review
Rated:
I did enjoy this anime. Once again, GONZO did a good job in adapting something and make it special on its own. I was mostly impressed with the setting: the way the futuristic and medieval are meshed together in such a unique way. The story itself is enjoyable and suspenseful, other than the slight gap between two subplots. The characters are for the most part, likable, though not the most memorable for me in anime.
If you like samurai and meccha with lots of action, you'll like this anime.

I usually don't like mecha animes. But this one is different. I really like it. I loved the character development,
especially of Katsushiro. But my favourite character will always be Kyuzo. :)
The OST is amazing. Both the opening and ending themes are one of my favourite anime songs ever.
I've also seen Akira Kurosawa's movie where the series is based on. Of course some parts are completely different but
it's interesting to notice the similarities, not only at the story-line but also in some of the scenes.
I can't really describe this one, it's definitely unique. With cloning in feudal style living and jiant machines, this series keeps you guessing. It's really good, but It's a lot to bend your brain around. That kind of thing, is what I like about it. It makes you pay more attention to details since it's got a lot in it. And, the characters each have their side stories are so well done that I felt as though I was actually living the anime rather than watching it. It just drags you in.
fireflywishes rated 7.75:I have not seen the original Kurosawa film that this anime adaptation is based upon, but from what I've read, the writers for the anime tried to keep the characters' personalities similar. I really liked the character designs (Especially Heihachi and Kyuzo), though the seemingly forced romance between Kirara and Kanbei was kinda weird.

I haven't watch it completely, but it sure had awesome OP and ED song.
People keep on saying that ' you'll regret it if you watch it till the last episode'. Hah, the wonderful thing about
spoilers. They prepared you for something shocking.
I'm going to finish it sooner or later thou, depending on the my internet access. xD
A decent take on Akira Kurosawa's classic, but the mech theme didn't do it for me and could've been a little closer to the theme to the original film and could've been a period piece set in feudal times. A plus is the awesomeness of Kyuzo.
