Milkiyo's Samurai Champloo Tv Review

Rated: 8

Samurai Champloo has serious and exciting martial arts but overall it can be quite comical as well.

There are 26 episodes altogether along with multiple flashbacks. The flashbacks may be a little bit confusing at first but as the story evolve, it becomes more meaningful. This gives off a good effect of suspense and also makes you feel that you are part of the story as well.

It was also directed by Shinichiro Watanabe of Cowboy Bebop so there may be a bit of resemblance in both the shows. However, the concept of this anime is very much enjoyable that sometimes it will leave you craving for more. Pretty addictive.

Samurai Champloo passes off as an enjoyable anime overall though it lacks in certain moral aspects that it must fulfill if it ever wanted to be a family video.

Combining modern hip-hop with historic Japan reference seems like a combination that would fail in any other case, but this series pulls it off beautifully! Each character is very unique and different from each other creating some great scenes and the battles are very well made and exciting to watch. The show has a great balance of comedy and drama and each episode is interesting and fun to watch.

I could not leave indifferent mix of historical Japan and modern musical themes (Champloo there is in the title is not in vain). In general, all three main characters could easily be present in our time. At the same time in nature, they differ considerably as Jin - a serious, sober, restrained in emotion; Mugen - just an explosive mix of emotions. But each of them is good in their own way (no surprise that Fuu undecided)
Although the picture fairly simplistic, but the fighting scenes are delivered with incredible accuracy (as if the animators were counted movements of heroes by schemes and formulas).
It's pity that just when the characters became real friends they parted ways
P.S. My favorite series about a blind girl with a samisen

The intro to this anime was really interesting and it's what makes me want to watch this series further.
I think, overall, the story was awesome, it's really gives off different aura from other Samurai anime. The relationship between Fuu, Mugen and Jin looks natural and it's developing since the first day they met. The humor in this anime are priceless, and it's one of the thing that kept me watching this anime. The plot getting more serious in the later episode and I didn't expect that when I watch it for the first time, I never expected who Fuu's father is and I never expect how serious her little search was.
I'm all neutral about the ending, (what happened to the trio) I don't know if I should be happy or disappointed(these feeling are not directed to how the anime ending, but to the trio's ending...or something like that).
But it's still an awesome anime and I believe no one will be disappointed with it.

I've seen this show twice, it is awesome. I loved the fights of both Mugen and Jin, I liked Mugen's wild way of fighting. But I also loved the fact that Jin was very calm and precise most of the time when he fought as well. This show is incredibly funny.

I will own this show one day. I just need to wait until I get some money. Anyway, this is the show that inspired me to watch Cowboy Bebop. This show was really amazing. ^^ Some of the action scenes were just amazing. I think episode 1 had the best action scenes though. Anyway, the characters were really awesome. You couldn't help but love Mugen even if he is an idiot. XD There's also a lot of sex in this show since every time Mugen and Jin got some money they were immediately at a red light district. :P Like Cowboy Bebop this show has a good balance of humor and drama. I feel like it leans heavily to the drama side, but the humorous episodes are great! Check out this show if you love action scenes, humor, and drama. ^^
