Because he hates having his picture taken, Takashi Shinohara demands
the film when a stranger takes a photo of him without his consent. The stranger gives him the film but also requests
that Takashi be his model and tries to hit on him - even after Takashi declares loudly that he hates homosexuals! The
two make a deal: if they happen to meet again within the span of a week, Takashi will be his model. Takashi reluctantly
agrees, thinking the photographer will be easy to avoid. However, he promptly loses the deal when a friend forcibly
drags him to the school's photography club! It's there that he finds out the stranger is none other than Jin Kiwamui, a world-famous photographer.
"Self Portrait" is
a prequel to April 4th, which features Takashi's younger brother, Naoto.
