After being murdered, Makina Hoshimura turns into a "living corpse".
Armed with dual MAC-11 submachine guns, she must kill 108 other corpses in order to gain entry into heaven. She is
assisted in this task by Keisei Tagami, a Buddhist priest with links to an anti-corpse group known as the Kougun Sect.
Her ultimate goal is to avenge the death of her family, by destroying the corpses known as the Seven Stars.
Shikabane Hime: Kuro is direct continuation of Shikabane Hime (a.k.a. Shikabane Hime: Aka), taking place six months
after, Kagami Ouri formed a temporary contract with Makina to save her from degenerating into a Shikabane. Since then,
Ouri's been training to become a proper monk so that he can remain contracted to Makina and help her fight against the
Shichisei -- the ones who originally killed Makina, as well as the entire Hoshimura family. However, the traitorous monk
Shishidou Akasha has sided with the Shichisei in an attempt to destroy all Shikabane Hime and the entire monk
organization that uses them -- The Kougon Sect.

Weskalia's Shikabane Hime Tv Review
Rated:
Perhaps it's pretty much impossible to hate Shikabane Hime. It's just does what the formative outing of this genre: there are boobs and there are explosions and to try and make sense of it is to miss the point entirely. Aka may have its flaws for turning the plot into a trashy monster hunt with a poor selection of characters; that's when the series starting to crack. And let's not forget its ridiculous emphasis on emphasized boobs and clothes-shredding attacks, although there's more clothes to shred and more fleshes to show even though it's unnecessary. The question is whether Kuro is up for the job, and tells a better story.
And it actually did, not only the pacing is better, but its conflicted emotions are well-written for sure.

Achei a primeira parte, Shikabane Hime Aka, muito devagar. Não conseguiu me empolgar.
fireflywishes rated 7.75:Seems fairly standard-- nothing groundbreaking, but it still entertaining. Was kind of lukewarm about the series up until episode 12. That's where the hook was for me. Really like all of the characters except for Oori... I felt that as the male lead his character was kind of weak. The ending left a little bit to be desired-- there was not really a clear cut conclusion.
MisaSasekage rated 9.75:I felt really bad for what ended up happening to Hokuto. I also didn't like how bad Takamasa treated his Shikabane Itsuki Yamagami. I enjoyed the fights and the plot to this show very much. Though the death of Keisei was quite sad.
Onikami rated 7.50:After watching both Shikabane Hime Aka & Shikabane Hime Kuro I must say I really enjoyed them. The story, the action, the characters; everything was solid and I have no "major" complaints. It had plenty of action, but I can't help but feel as if it needed more... Hmmm... I don't know, I'll definitely need to read the manga now though. ^_^
blessedaegis rated 10.00:This is my all-time favorite. The characters are well developed. The entire series keeps you guessing. Violent, and dark, but has light at the end of the tunnel and a wonderful beauty about it. The music soundtrack fits amazing with the show and makes the mood all the better.
