Because of being attacked by an elder male teacher in the past, Souichi has developed an intense hatred for gay people, which he misses no opportunity to announce. Oftentimes he takes it out on Tetsuhiro, the only one who ever listens to him, and continuously plans to go to America and snatch his little brother away from the gay lover who "corrupted" him. Even though he obviously has feelings for Tetsuhiro, he refuses to admit them.
