Season 1 is absoluately eye-opening. So the Japanese does know how to kuso their own historic figures. Their society and traditional culture limited their anime topics until this comes along. It's a challenge to what's widely accepted as boring, unexciting and dull history. It demonstrated that history can be fun and colorful. Although each episode lasts about a minute in average, it brings out the best known characteristics of historic shougans and rulers. Season 2 continues the practice and doesn't disappoint.
If you know well japanese history and warlords of Sengoku era, you will be laughing a lot watching it^_^ otherwise leave it be, because you could not understand the show at all;p for me its really funny, great ideas and the hypothesis that Uesugi Kenshin might be Gackt just kills me!^_^
