Uragiri wa Boku no Namae wo Shitteiru (UraBoku) is a story of a mysterious boy with mysterious ability, Giou Yuki. Right after he was born, his mother left him near an orphanage, and was found. Because of that event, Yuki strives for independence. He hates being a burden to anyone near him, but at the same time, he was afraid of being left alone. Moreover, ever since he can remember he had a strange ability where when he touches others, he can feel their emotion (mostly anger & sadness). Unable to control it, he often made insensitive blunders in the past. He later met with a mysterious beautiful man who saves his lives, but somehow he feels so nostalgic, like he's met him before. While death threats and his ability increasing, the man who claimed to be his older brother suddenly appear, so what will Yuki do when he learn the truth?

ShannaxZala's Uragiri wa Boku no Namae wo Shitteiru Tv And Manga Review

Rated: 10

I think this is an extremely enjoyable series. It's something that can drag you in and keep you there.

The manga kept me reading until I had managed to finish it, I can really say that it's addicting. Granted I did start reading it when it wasn't that far in... I still kept reading until I got caught up. The characters and the story can keep somebody sitting and reading for hours.
And although the Anime is not finished right now, I still want to say that it's been great so far. They are currently on episode 11, and I've been watching it since the start. It's a series that I'll actually consider watching in one day once it's finished.

I don't find the characters too incredibly funny nor is the story, but it certainly has it's moments.

I enjoyed this, thanks in large part to Luka. Yep, this would be the only anime I watched at first for shallow reasons, the man is just so darn pretty. After the second or third episode, I was hooked. It might not be entirely original (what anime is anymore?) but it's done in a way that keeps it fairly fresh. The anime ended in a sudden, unfinished way that a lot of series seem to be ending, but at least this time there was a feeling of completion.

I liked this series, the story was quite engaging and the characters were well written. The characters themselves were well casted and those performances I enjoyed the most were Takahiro Sakurai as Luka, Akira Ishida as Kanata/Reiga, Takehito Koyasu as Takashiro, Daisuke Ono as Hotsuma, and Marina Inoue as Toko. The anime itself feels rather incomplete as it didn't go much into Luka's twin brother, Luze very much as he has a stronger role in the manga where the story continues and could've benefited from a second season, which is rather sad as the anime industry caters to the male fanbase mainly nowadays and rather pump out generic harem BS anime shows, because I feel shows like UraBoku have more to offer in regards in telling a rather unique story, has female characters who are finely crafted and aren't treated as sex objects, and I would've liked to see Luka x Male Yuki's relationship fleshed out more and a resolution to Kanata/Reiga x Yuki. Overall, I enjoyed this series and hope a second season will be considered in the future.

One of the few BL animes I like. The story is good and the art is gorgeous, though the manga is a lot better. If you're into demons, you'll love Luka Crosszeria, his unconditional love for Yuuki (the main portagonist) is almost sick, lol.

"Uragiri wa Boku no Namae wo Shitteiru" or in another simple words "..Uraboku..":
a Well Drawn anime....maybe this is the right thing to describe this anime by...
for me this anime kinda lost the story,or there is no story since the beginning so the art is the where to look at and what to drag you to watch the anime.
i found this anime by a random video on my laptop took from my sister's friend,i liked the art(it was a screenshots and some music)so i searched and downloaded the anime, maybe that was for some reason the fastest 12h(less actually cuz the ep is already 23min!!)in my life, the 24eps just finished too fast(glad they did because i didn't want to hear more of yuk's voice or his friendly shitty words!!)
but yeah for some reason this anime really drags you to finish it but it is for sure not it story because it doesn't have one(don't be fooled by the story told up there,it is just because they wanted something to call it story!)
and now maybe someone would ask...then why did you watch the entire anime after all !?
well it is for the ART because i'm someone who searches for art before story(lately every anime or movie have the same story even if some details changed!)so the art is very important reason,i also admire(Hotsuma,Shuusei,Touko,Tsukumo)so...yeah i guess four characters effects, don't they!!?
another reason,i won't say i didn't enjoy"much"in watching this anime(i only wanted yuki and luka die for some reason!!)O.o
i enjoined till i watched the ending"simple spoiler coming"....(what the F----)it is not just an open ending...there is no ending,i mean i don't want to see someone dies but while i was watching the 2ed OP and has that seen where every body was injured i waited for something big...for something to really please me....but no,they just decided to do something like that,i just felt like the ending was catted off or something,i mean they payed for it,couldn't they end it better(or kill yuki, luka maybe ^^)....DAMN IT
anyways this is my opinion on this anime and if you know you'd feel the same then go for it and watch it but don't wait for something big(at all) or better that the art it self, which means if you already dislike the art then leave it,it doesn't got a hope "^^.
well after a second though,if you don't like the art but you like the foolish talk about friendship and someone being mister nice\beloved\USELESS\weak...then you'r in the right place((or you can also try-Uta no Prince Sama & Vampire Knight))!.

I usually love the main character in animes. But not this one. Yuki, the boy, who looks like princess type, who looks weak but actually have super power but again not too often using it, also too kind hearted, almost didnt have any negative or funny sides, I dont like him. I prefer side character like Hotsuma. Oh I wish he is the main character instead. ToT
