An enigmatic mage who buys Chise as his apprentice and wife. His powers manifest mostly through shadows and thorns,
earning him the title of "Child of Thorns". As he explains to Chise, Elias can intuit what needs to be said in a
specific situation, but cannot empathize the way humans do.
The Fairy Queen, Titania, considers him one of her
children, although the other fairies only see him as "incomplete" and worthy of contempt.
In the past, Elias was
the apprentice of Lindenbaum.
