A sweet little fantasy movie that is something parents who are still anime fans can show their children, sure it is rather slow-paced but it does show a positive message of the close friendship of Giovanni and Campanella in how much they treasure one another. There is no speck of violence in this movie and has a heartwarming feeling to it, although the climax of the movie is rather bittersweet that may make some feel sad.

The theme of the movie, "what is true happiness", really makes one think about life and the experiences we encounter. The idea of using cats for the main characters, when other people are portrayed as humans, seemed a bit off.
