Commonly known by his nickname "Littlefinger", Petyr's wit and cunning have lead to him becoming one of the key players in King's Landing. Raised in the Tully household as a ward, he fell in love with Catelyn Tully, though his feelings were not returned; after challenging and losing to Brandon Stark, Catelyn's betrothed, Petyr's life is spared at her request. Petyr never ceases pursuing her, however, and uses the love of Lysa, her sister, to aid in his ascent to political power. During the series, he is involved in numerous plots and changes allegiance in accordance to his interests.
