f(x) pronounced as Effects is a Korean Girl Group under SM Entertainment. A multi-national group, the quintet consists
of Korean members Sulli (real name Choi Jin-ri), Luna (real name Park Sun Young), Krystal (real name Jung Soo Jung );
with Taiwanese American member Amber (real name Amber Liu) and Chinese leader Victoria (real name Song Chi En). SM
Entertainment gave the group a title of Asia's Pop Dance Group. The group specializes in Pop and Dance, while Sulli,
Krystal and Victoria also specializes in modeling and acting.
SM Ent. first discovered Krystal in 2000
during a family vacation, Luna was spotted on a television show, Victoria at a dance competition in Beijing, China,
Amber casted from an audition in California. Out of the 5 members Sulli was the first member to debut as a child
actress.
f(x) had their first performance showcase on September 2, but the group finally debuted at MBC's
music show Show! Music Core on September 5.
