The year is After Colony (AC) 195. The world as we know it is in turmoil, and in space, amidst the vast Colony clusters, the Earth Alliance Military is acting as an occupation force. In the deepest of secrets, 5 outlaw scientists complete 5 special weapons, mobile suits called 'Gundams' and send them to earth. Piloted by five youngsters, unaware of each other's existence, their mission is to halt the Alliance and free the colonies, especially dealing with the elite forces of Oz.

However, as the battle continues, this single mission turns into a struggle for survival, and, in the end, a desperate attempt to maintain peace. The five pilots-- Heero Yuy, Quatre Raberba Winner, Chang Wu Fei, Duo Maxwell and Trowa Barton-- join their forces, as all of them want to end the needles fighting and the pointless battles. For Heero, it also means to give a token of his love towards Relena Peacecraft who, in her own way, fights for that same peace...

Dimmie's Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Tv Review

Rated: 7

As much as I defend Gundam Wing's <i>slight</i> superiority over other mecha series in terms of storytelling, the initial plot is not original in the least - you've seen "<i>teenage boys save the world with giant robots</i>" a hundred times before. The difference is mostly in the charisma of the characters, and the smart plot twists that never fail to make you go "WHAT?" every odd number of episodes.

There is no fanservice of the panty-shot kind, nor easy cheeky humour through the series.

The first Gundam series I ever saw. The only reason I haven't given it a perfect 10 is because I do feel some storylines don't quite resolve. That being said, I highly recommend it for any fan of the Gundam and mecha genre. Plenty of characters and a lot of intrigue and danger. Plus some of the greatest action scenes in anime history.

My personal favorite AU Gundam series of with political intrigue, intense battles, interesting and diverse characters and their philosophies. I also liked how it showed the psychology of the characters in how the war affects each one of them, as the principal characters grew up while the Earth military and the Colonies were in conflict with one other. The Gundam pilots, Relena, and those who support them strive to achieve peace and fight tooth and nail for it in whatever way they can. The characters are ever changing and neither are the same person they were from the start of the series as the war progresses. Wing has a great cast of female characters, I loved it when Dorothy makes her appearance and gets into engaging conversations with Relena. My favorite ship is definitely Zechs and Noin, I love their moments together and that they have such a strong and trusting bond. Treize is one of the most charismatic anime characters ever made and he certainly makes the series enjoyable to watch. Endless Waltz was an excellent way to end the Wing series with a solid story and great character progression, especially for Heero and Relena. This series is my first Gundam show I've watched and I love it still very much after seeing the others. When I see horrible comments made about Wing by haters, it does irritate me and shows their lack of understanding of one of the most complex Gundam shows ever made.

Treize Khushrenada and Zechs Marquis provide an interesting comparison to the five gundam pilots. They help the viewer wonder which is the right side in the conflict or are neither of the sides right? (by resorting to violence)

Lol, this show-especially the dub-is hilarious! Although the show does have a genuinely decent story and interesting characters, some of the art inconsistencies, awkward deliveries and awkwardly written lines make the show extra entertaining. Check it out if you're a fan of the nineties anime but don't have to take things too seriously. Duo! <3

Nice characters and nice story, even if I didn't understand much 'till I read the plot... it's a little complicated! This is the only Gundam series I've seen so far, so I cannot make comparisons, but I think the design is better than the others.

DUO MARXWELL: "Oh, man! Quatre loves to blame himself for everything if you let him. Sooner or later, he’ll start saying that there’s no air in space because he didn’t work on it hard enough!"

The designs for the Gundam mechs in this one are among my personal favorites, and the Mobilesuits are good as well. The story is good in that it somehow differs from the same old stuff that started to get repetitive in the Universal Century continuity

I only own the Gundam Wing OVA and its very good.
Now for the series, I have to say it was the best of the other Gundam Series I've heard of. GW will probably be the only Gundam series I'll watch, many of the others didn't catch my attention or interest. Although I do have to admit the music of Gundam Seed is extremely awesome. But the series wasn't fascinating. I'm not so sure about Code Geass - I don't think that counts for a Gundam series, but I'm still going to watch it. GW was also very popular due to the characters especially Duo Maxwell - he was really the reason I started watching it. I also like the music especially from Two-Mix, they're awesome. P.S. Gundam Wing was the first series that drew me into Yaoi, so I have to say that I thank myself for watching this. :)
My 3 favorite characters: Duo Maxwell, Heero Yuy, Trowa Barton

I am going for the title of gundam fan, so here I watch another one of the awesome gundam series. This is the story of few boys trained to be gundam pilots, which descended on earth. They are protectors of colonies which are threatened by earth forces. They fight against one of militiary companies Oz. It's leader is one of the best character in the gundam wing.. Treize Khushrenda. Ace pilot of Oz is named Zechs Marquise which later reveals as Milliardo Peacecraft and those two are rocking whole anime! The serie lacks a bit in the term of action but the suits and political sphere are awesome.

Interesting plot and great character-centric story. Greatly laid out though some points could've used some work and certain aspects like the boyband-ish characters detracts from the main plot... but whatever, I like it.
