Motoki is the owner of the arcade Usagi Tsukino frequents. At the start of the series, Usagi is shown to be in love with Motoki and even suspects him of being Tuxedo Kamen; later on, Makoto Kino also develops a crush on him. He is friends with Mamoru Chiba and the two are ex-university colleagues. His only known family is Unazuki Furuhata, his sister.
