A top-ranking actor in Japan, Ren can instantly charm any girl with his sparkling smile...except for Kyoko. Believing that revenge is a petty reason to take up acting, Ren
initially dislikes Kyoko; however, as the two keep running into each other — in private or even as coworkers —, he
learns that revenge is not Kyoko's sole motive and she learns that the true Ren hidden behind the fake smile and poker
face, is actually quite dark.
Ren's father is Koo Hizuri, a
famous actor currently residing in the US, though their relation is kept secret from the media. The relationship between
Ren and his parents is strained, as he vows to not get in contact with them until he becomes famous in Japan. Ren gets
along well with President Lory Takarada as well, him being one of the
few to know the "old Ren".
