Spider Lilies Theme
Tagged under Flowers.
In Japan, the Red Spider Lily signals the arrival of fall. Due to being usually planted around cemeteries, they are
thought to act as guides in the next reincarnation of the souls of the dead.
Spider lily bulbs are highly
poisonous, which is why they are planted around human establishments as pest repellents. As they are associated with
death, it is not advised to offer someone a bouquet of these flowers.
Probably the most well-known
example of lycoris radiata being used in anime is in the series Jigoku
Shoujo.
